FAQs

Licensing & Monetisation

Why don’t I just use Suno?

There are several reasons why working with Orai Music offers more value:

Licensing & Monetisation: Suno requires a paid subscription, and only tracks generated under paid accounts are licensed for monetisation. Orai Music ensures every track is cleared for commercial use under Suno's T's & C's.

Copyright Validity: A written prompt alone does not constitute copyright. A clear musical input (melody, chord sequence, structure) does. Our composers guarantee that every input has a human-authored musical foundation.

Expert Prompt Crafting: AI music quality depends on the skill of the prompt writer. Our trained composers specialise in generating fit-for-purpose tracks tailored to your brief using their musical input.

Seamless Workflow: You brief our composer directly and maintain a two-way dialogue, just as you would in traditional scoring.

Professional Editing: We provide track edits and stems with expert human input, ensuring broadcast-ready quality.

How can I monetise the music?

All tracks are cleared for monetisation. You can register them with PRS (UK) or equivalent collection societies internationally. You’ll collect royalties as the publisher, while our composer is credited as the writer.

How much can I make?

Earnings depend on where your production is broadcast. For UKTV productions over a 6 part series, clients typically recoup their initial investment and often exceed the upfront cost through royalties.

Who owns the rights to the music?

You own the publishing rights and are free to monetise the tracks. Our composers retain writer credits, ensuring transparency and compliance with industry standards. We guarantee that all human composer inputs are original. However, because Suno (or other AI music generators) are used as production tools, we must pass on their disclaimer: there is a possibility that AI-generated output may inadvertently resemble or contain copyrighted material. Other than this risk, you are entitled to register and exploit the tracks as original works.

Can I use the music outside the UK?

Yes. Our licensing covers international use. You can register tracks with collection societies worldwide (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, GEMA) to collect royalties globally.
